    About 8 Scollard StreetThe Lotus

Between Bay, Bloor and Yonge Street, and just south of Davenport Road, sits The Lotus Condos at 8 Scollard Street. These modern condos offer what all Torontonians are looking for in a high-rise home: a prime location, easy access to transit, contemporary style, and plenty of green-space, all close to downtown Toronto. That’s a lot to ask for, we realize, but the Lotus Condos easily fill all of these needs and more.

Built in 2008, 8 Scollard Street has a façade of limestone, glass and metal, along both its square shape and distinctive eastern side that has a rounded, column-like shape. This rounded portion boasts especially scenic views of Yonge Street and the Rosedale Valley, while other exposures look out over Yorkville and The Annex.

There are stores and restaurants conveniently located on the ground floor, as well as 2 parkettes: one directly east and another just south of the building. Best of all, 8 Scollard Street has many amenities for residents to use, including a gym, a sauna, a spa with juice bar, lounge, and manicure and pedicure rooms, concierge and security services, a party room, a conference room, guest suites, and a parking garage.

    The Suites

The Lotus Condos reach just 17 storeys, and hold 155 Toronto condos within. The homes rang from just over 400 to almost 1,800 square feet. The units vary in terms of exposure as well, with one or two bedroom units available. One or two bathrooms occupy each unit as well, while some one bedroom suites boast dens as well.

Yorkville condos for sale at The Lotus Condos are spacious, bright, and comfortable, thanks to 8- to 10-foot ceilings, large and plentiful windows, and open-concept dining and living rooms. Floors are finished with engineered wood, and kitchens feature granite counters, breakfast bars, stainless-steel appliances and modern wooden cabinetry.

Master bedrooms boast large double-door closets, and roomy bathrooms finished with tile and stones. Suites also have their own washer and dryer machines, and most of the suites have at least 1 balcony, from which residents can enjoy the sights of the neighborhood below.

    The Neighbourhood

All along main roads like Davenport Road, Yonge Street and Bay Street, residents of The Lotus Condos should be able to find plenty of unique shops, eateries and errand-running locations that meet all of their needs.

Smaller streets nearby like Yorkville Avenue or even Scollard Street itself are littered with plenty of great storefronts, cafes and bars to check out. And even more grocery stores, pharmacies and specialty boutiques can be found at the Yorkville Village Mall or the Hudson’s Bay Centre to the south.

Residents of 8 Scollard looking for nearby fun won’t have to look long or walk far. Nearby, at the intersection of Bloor Street and Avenue Road, popular attractions like the Royal Ontario Museum, Koerner Hall, and the Varsity Theatre are perfect for taking in the latest exhibits, concerts or films.

In addition to the small parkettes that surround the building, a number of large parks also serve the area. These include Jessie Ketchum Park, Queens Park, Harold Town Park, and Ramsden Park, as well as the rest of the Rosedale Valley Ravine.

There are also a number of reputable schools nearby for families to choose from, like Branksome Hall, St. Joseph’s College, Jessie Ketchum Junior and Senior Public School, Rosedale Junior Public School, and even Toronto Metropolitan University, U of T, and George Brown College.

    Transportation

Residents of 8 Scollard Street shouldn’t have any issues navigating their neighborhood. There are buses that stop right at the corner of Yonge and Davenport. Additionally, both the Bay and Bloor-Yonge Subway Stations are about a 5-minute walk south, making using either of downtown’s subway lines easily accessible at all times of the day.

Cyclists will enjoy the bike lanes that adorn streets like Bloor and Bay, while motorist can take Bloor Street to reach the nearest highway, the Don Valley Parkway.
