About 763 Bay StreetCollege Park North Tower

While the trope of the baby sibling getting all of the attention might be true sometimes, the condos at 763 Bay Street still shine even after the third member of its complex became the tallest condominium in Canada.

Some might prefer the status and bragging rights that come along with living in Aura , however the College Park North Tower is just as charming, and now benefits from being slightly under the radar, as does its other sibling: College Park South Tower.

Thankfully, the pressure was only off at 763 Bay Street after it was built. This means that Canderel Stoneridge still put as much into this building as they would any other. And being developer that has been around so long, they truly understand the need to please Torontonians with impressive homes.

Inhabited since 2007, this was the first phase of the College Park Condos to be constructed. While Aura’s arrival means the College Park North Tower is now one third of a trio, it was originally the first of a pair of twin towers at 761 and 763 Bay Street.

The 51 storey postmodern mammoth is named for College Park, a much older building just across the street. The aluminum and glass façade was designed by Graziani + Corazza Architects Inc., making the College Park Condos a welcomed contrast to their historical neighbour.

Adjoining the two buildings is the “Parkview Club,” an 18,000 square-foot space filled with amenities galore. Residents of the College Park North Tower share the following with their neighbours to the south: a gym, yoga studio, lap pool, hot tub, and games room.

A garden, communal terrace, business centre, theatre room, computer room, ping pong, and virtual golf are also on site, in case anyone starts to get bored. And those living at 763 Bay Street can make use of the concierge and guest suites, as well as the direct access to the shops and subway at College Park.

    The Suites

The homes within the College Park North Tower are quite heterogeneous, which is no surprise seeing as the building is divided up into 655 units. Perfect for an area like Bay and College — where locals are about as diverse as they come — there are units suitable for single, first-time buyers, as well as growing families.

For those seeking Toronto condos for sale of the starter variety, 400 square foot units are the smallest of the lot. Grand penthouses, on the other hand, reach to a striking 4,100 square feet. Regardless of size, all of the interiors in the College Park North Tower have been styled by Chapman Design Group. As a result, prospective buyers will find granite gracing the kitchens, hardwood flooring, bathtubs fit for a spa, and spacious breakfast bars.

    The Neighbourhood

With its location in the Bay Street Corridor, residents have endless options for spending their spare time.

Those who love to indulge can visit the Elmwood Spa, watch a ballet or opera performance at the Four Seasons for the Performing Arts, or enjoy high tea at the Shangri-La or the Windsor Arms Hotel. Outdoorsy types can explore the numerous parks in the area, such as Queen’s Park and Allan Gardens.

Foodies living at 763 Bay Street will find themselves in heaven, thanks to Toronto’s eclectic and eccentric dining scene. Little Tokyo and Chinatown are both within close reach, with Kensington Market, Korea Town, Greek Town, and the Gerrard India Bazaar just beyond these.

With the massive Loblaws in the historic Maple Leaf Gardens Building only 600 metres away, residents who love to cook, entertain, and host will be more than content. In fact, those who despise cooking will be equally pleased, especially thanks to the spread of prepared foods found in this grocery store.

And when cravings hit at 3:00 AM, residents can scurry down to the 24-hour Metro in the College Park building. They can even visit the store in their slippers if they pleased, seeing as the two buildings are directly connected to one another.

    Transportation

With the College Park North Towers situated above College Station, residents don’t even need to go outside in order to take a ride on the subway. With this in mind, those living at 763 Bay can reach Union Station in just under 10 minutes, while a ride up to Bloor takes even less time.

From Bloor, those traveling by TTC can then hop onto a Bloor-Danforth train for travel east or west. Alternatively, the College Streetcar is an ideal route for those who want to reach the University of Toronto Campus, Kensington Market, or Palmerston | Little Italy in a hurry.

Drivers can ride along College for east-west travel, while University Avenue and Jarvis Streets are great routes for those heading north and south.
