About 460-480 Queens Quay WKings Landing Condos

Before we get to the building — no, this is not located in Westeros, you won’t find any Lannister’s here, and you certainly won’t have to worry about getting caught up in the Game of Thrones. Now that we’ve cleared that up — Kings Landing is an 11-storey building in Toronto’s Waterfront nieghbourhood, located at 460 and 480 Queens Quay West. Built in 1988, this condominium has remained a fixture of the Waterfront community due to its unique tiered design and spacious suites.

Kings Landing has an impressive list of amenities: indoor pool, hot tub, gym, sauna, tennis court, security guard, parking garage.

This building appeals to a large demographic — young or mature professionals, families, empty nesters — there’s a lot to like here for any prospective condo buyer. And given that units here are often listed for rent, this property is also a great choice for those seeking Toronto condos for rent. So, if you’re looking for a spacious suite in the Waterfront community, this building should be on your list.

    The Suites

As is often the case with older buildings — King’s Landing has spacious suites, with one bedroom units that would rival the square footage of some 3 bedroom condos in newer builds; the smallest suites are over 1200 square feet, and the largest are in excess of 4000 square feet.

Suites at 460 and 480 Queens Quay West have seen their share of personalization over the years, but all suites have double door entry, hardwood floors, expansive open-concept layouts, and private balconies. Units are based on a variety of layouts from 1 bedroom to 3 bedroom suites.

    The Neighbourhood

The Waterfront neighbourhood is a picturesque community, blending nature and urban living, just minutes from the Entertainment District. From your front door at Kings Landing, you are directly across the street from the Spadina Quay Wetlands and the Martin Goodman Trail. Walkers and runners will love the Martin Goodman Trail — extending for kilometres to the east and west, the Martin Goodman Trail passes through several parks in the Waterfront neighbourhood and offers lakeside views and a tree-shrouded trail. This area has some great choices for recreation — there’s a rowing club, a yacht club, tennis courts, a baseball diamond, playground, a dog park, and plenty of green grass to layout a blanket for an afternoon picnic.

For dining out, there are restaurants all along Queens Quay like Amsterdam BrewHouse, Pizzaiolo Gourmet Pizza, Pearl Harbourfront Chinese Cuisine, Gonoe Sushi, and Swiss Chalet. If you’re looking to grab something quick, there’s Pizza Pizza, Harvey’s, Subway, plus a host of fast-food chains and restaurants to the north in the Entertainment District and to the north-west in King West. Queen’s Quay has great options for coffee as well; Boxcar Social, We Brew Café, Music Garden Café, Tim Hortons and Starbucks.

Sports fans are within walking distance of the Rogers Centre and Scotiabank Arena — making it easy to stroll to and from a game without worrying about parking or crowded trains. You can act like a tourist and visit the CN Tower, Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada, or the Hockey Hall of Fame. The Entertainment District has a vast selection of pubs and clubs — whether you’re looking for live music, a quiet pub, or a packed club, there are many options to suit any taste.

For groceries and essential purchases — there’s Sobeys Urban Fresh Spadina on For York Blvd, Sobeys Urban Fresh Queens Quay, Rabba Fine Foods, and Shoppers Drug Mart on Queens Quay.

    Transportation

Kings Landing has a walk score of 89, so residents will likely be able to accomplish most errands without a vehicle or public transit. For those who rely on public transit to get around, there are streetcars right outside your front door on Queens Quay, connecting to Union Station for subway lines and transit throughout the city.

Drivers have a parking garage to store their vehicles when not in use, and a quick trip to Lakeshore Boulevard via Dan Leckie Way, or the Gardiner Expressway via Spadina Avenue.
