About 160 Frederick StreetOlde York Place I

Just minutes away from the historic St. Lawrence Market, Olde York Place I is a condo building that was completed in 1984. Alongside its sibling Old Yorke Place II at 25 George St, the building blends in with the rest of the neighbourhood that’s filled with turn of the century Victorian architecture.

It’s a stylish mid-rise that rises to 9 storeys, and it only has 63 downtown Toronto condos within its walls. Every suite at 160 Frederick Street offers ample square footage, making it one of the most coveted addresses in Downtown Toronto.

The entire city is at your doorstep when you live here. The King subway station is less than a 10 minute walk away, so you can use public transit to get anywhere in the city.

    The Suites

Olde York Place I boasts huge and majestic suites. These layouts offer tremendous luxury to each one of their residents. All of the Toronto condos for sale here are over 2,000 square feet, and they’ve been recently renovated to reflect modern tastes and designs.

They are all two-bedroom plus den layouts. This could be a great fit for the family who is looking to live in luxury in the heart of downtown. It could also be the perfect choice for the professional looking to include an impressive office in their new home.

These suites are equipped with large living areas that are perfect for entertaining your guests. There are also large picture windows that bathe these condos in natural light throughout the day. You can also enjoy the jacuzzi bathtubs in the washrooms that are a perfect way to relax after a hard day’s work.

The suites at 160 Frederick Street have tremendous amenities too. There’s a fully equipped exercise room in addition to a pool and sauna, so staying fit will never be a problem.

    The Neighbourhood

St. Lawrence is celebrated for being one of the best preserved parts of the city. Many of the historic neighbourhoods in the city have been overhauled with towering glass high-rises, but St. Lawrence has retained the Victorian architecture for which it has come to be known.

These red brick structures were once industrial warehouses and factories, but today they have been converted into stylish live/work lofts. This has given St. Lawrence the reputation as a sort of arts district in the city. This is bolstered by the presence of George Brown College, which is only footsteps away from 160 Frederick St.

The neighbourhood is named for the St. Lawrence Market, which is Toronto’s best market in the city and the perfect place to go when you’re looking for that perfect specialty food item. It’s also a great place to get fresh produce because each Saturday, farmers from all across Southern Ontario come here to sell their freshly picked wares.

    Transportation

As mentioned before, the TTC’s King Station is only a 10 minute walk away from Olde York Place I. This station is part of Line 1 Yonge-University, and it connects riders with the rest of the city. This is your gateway to the other Districts in the GTA, and even as far as Vaughan thanks to the recently completed Line 1 extension.

There’s also the 504 King streetcar, which will be right at your doorstep too. This is one of the most important transit routes in the city because it creates an east-west thoroughfare for public transit takers in the city. It is the best way to get to exciting parts of the city like Liberty Village or the Exhibition Grounds.

If you want to live in downtown, but have to go to other regions for work, this is a great place for you too because Union Station is only one stop away from King Station. In addition to being connected to the Toronto Subway, Union Station is a critical station for GO Transit. So if you need to reach Pickering or Mississauga, this is your best option.

Drivers are in good shape too because they can easily access the Gardiner Expressway. This arterial highway carves a path across Toronto’s lakefront, and it also connects the the Don Valley Parkway, making the entire GTA truly at your fingertips.
