It doesn’t have the dining options of King West, the boutique shopping and craft beer of Queen West, or the bustling pace of the Bay Street Corridor, but what this neighbourhood does offer is arguably more important than all of that — a commuter friendly location, with ample urban convenience and very affordable prices.
Situated in the York Crosstown area, just west of Allen Road, residents of Briar Hill Towers have a great neighbourhood to explore. Step out of your front door and you’re minutes from Shahi The Royal Roti for Indian cuisine, Domino's, Pizza Nova, and Miyako Sushi. To the south on Eglinton you’ll encounter a selection of Caribbean restaurants, and there are also cafes such as Coffee Time for that all important morning coffee.
Eglinton is home to many boutiques — you won’t find Prada or Gucci here — and service based businesses which add an extra layer of convenience for residents; there are clothing stores, auto parts shops, salons, and cosmetic stores. For additional shopping, you can venture north of Lawrence for a large commercial space containing many big box stores.
Briar Hill & Belgravia won’t provide you with a vibrant nightlife but there are some local pubs like Chalkers Pub Billiards Bistro for an evening drink. Viewmount Park Tennis Club is just east of your building, and there are several athletic clubs and facilities to the north. Residents have nearby green spaces at Viewmount Park and Walter Saunders Memorial Park, and walking trails as well.
Transportation
155 Marlee Ave has a Walk Score of 86 — so residents should have no trouble running errands on foot. Even grocery runs are easy here, thanks to Sobeys Urban Fresh Rosebury Square and Zito's Marketplace which are both less than a 5 minute walk away.

Drivers can get where they’re going in a hurry by heading north on Allen Road for the 401, and from there it’s easy to connect to major highways.
