550 Webb Drive

There’s likely no other building in all of Mississauga that resembles the Phoenix Condos, thanks to its unique green and white façade. The 27-storey residential tower at 550 Webb Drive has been around since 1990 and contains 344 units.

In addition to choosing a flashy colour to adorn the Phoenix Condos, the developers at Menkes were sure to deck out the building with plenty of amenities. Residents have access to a party room, indoor pool, tennis court, and sauna, in addition to a concierge and an underground parking garage with spots for guests.

With homes at 550 Webb containing either two bedroom or two bedrooms plus a den, not every condo seeker is going to find something suitable in the building. That said, the building is great for small families, single professionals, and couples without children or empty nesters. The suites range in size from around 900 to 1,500 square feet, and many feature private outdoor spaces.

One of the best things about Mississauga’s Fairview neighbourhood is its location: it sits kitty-corner to the downtown core, but far enough away to feel calm and quiet. While a short walk over to the downtown core will land residents at attractions like the Living Arts Centre, Cineplex Cinemas Mississauga, and Square One Shopping Centre, Fairview is home to a commercial area of its own. Just west of the Phoenix Condos is the Rio Can Grand Park, an outdoor shopping centre with a Shoppers Drug Mart, a Winners, a Staples, and numerous restaurants.

550 Webb’s central location also means residents have access to plenty of transportation infrastructure. There’s a bus stop right outside the building, for example, where residents can catch a bus heading to the Erindale GO Station. Once there, passengers can hop onto a GO Train that travels from Erindale to Union Station in just 37 minutes.

Residents who drive, on the other hand, can reach major highways like the 403 and the QEW in no time. The drive into downtown Toronto can take as little as 20 minutes when traffic cooperates, although those planning to commute during rush hour should plan for a drive of about one hour.
